These terms apply whenever you book a workshop, training session or event with Avexa Events Limited through this website. Please read them before completing a booking.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Avexa Events Limited, trading as Avexa Events, Avexa Training and Fix It Yourself ("Avexa", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17325062, registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. These terms apply when you book a workshop, training session or event through this website.
2. Bookings
Bookings are made through the Google Forms links provided on each workshop or event page. A booking is confirmed once you receive confirmation from us by email or WhatsApp. Places on workshops such as Fix It Yourself are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Our in-person workshops and training currently run across North West England; bespoke training for organisations, schools and community groups elsewhere can be arranged on request.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in GBP (£) on each workshop or event page and do not include VAT, as Avexa Events Limited is not currently VAT registered. Payment is collected via the Google Form booking link and the payment link provided at checkout. Corporate, school, charity and community training under our Training Topics catalogue is quoted and invoiced individually.
4. Media and photography consent
By attending an Avexa Events or Avexa Training workshop or event, you consent to being filmed, photographed or recorded, including for use on social media, in promotional reels and as testimonials. Proceeding with your booking constitutes your agreement to this. If you'd prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let us know in advance at admin@avexaevents.com.
5. Tickets, transfers and refunds
All bookings are non-refundable. If you can't make it, you can pass your place to someone else · just email admin@avexaevents.com beforehand to let us know.
This applies to everyone, whether you're booking for yourself or on behalf of an organisation. By completing your booking, you agree to this policy and to our media consent policy (section 4).
6. What's included
Each workshop or training session includes what's described on its own page (for example, Fix It Yourself includes all tools and materials for the session). Travel, accommodation and anything not explicitly listed on the relevant page is not included unless agreed separately in writing.
7. Health, safety and conduct
Our practical workshops (such as Fix It Yourself) are homeowner-skills sessions, not trade qualifications, and do not certify or register attendees to carry out professional or regulated trade work. Attendees should follow facilitator instructions at all times for their own safety and the safety of others. We reserve the right to remove anyone from a session whose conduct puts themselves or others at risk, without a refund.
8. Liability
We take reasonable care in running our workshops and events, and nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
9. Corporate and bespoke training
Training delivered under our Training Topics catalogue for organisations, schools, charities or community groups · including venue sourcing, catering and delivery · is agreed individually and may be subject to a separate written agreement that takes priority over these general terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
